India's campaign is still not over as they would compete in the Bronze medal match. On August 5, the team will face the loser of the second semifinal between Australia & Germany. PM Modi congratulated Team India on Twitter and wished them luck for the bronze medal match. It has been a good journey for the India men's hockey team in the Tokyo Olympics so far. India men's hockey team defeated New Zealand 3-2 in their opening group game. The team then picked up wins over Germany, Spain, Argentina, Japan in group matches.
