Indian boxer Pooja Rani advanced to the quarterfinal in women's Middleweight. If Mary Kom wins then India will have 3 women boxers in quarters. Deepika Kumari kept India's hopes alive in archery by advancing to quarterfinal. Pravin Jadhav put up a brave fight but was ousted in round of 16. Indian lost 1-4 to Great Britain in women's hockey.
