'Tomahawk can be nuclear; if it's fired, we may think…': Putin's ultimate warning to Trump, Zelensky

Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov voiced grave concern over President Trump’s consideration of sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, warning that these long-range weapons—which can be nuclear or conventional—could trigger a dramatic escalation. Peskov stressed that Russia sees this as a moment of heightened tension, citing the risk of misidentification if Tomahawks are launched by Ukraine, potentially provoking a nuclear response. He stated that while Trump’s public focus on negotiation signals some U.S. political will for talks, neither Kyiv nor European leaders appear willing to pursue a peaceful solution. Russian aide Yuri Ushakov also dismissed the idea of awarding a Nobel Peace Prize for arms transfers as “plain stupidity,” highlighting the Kremlin’s belief that Kiev is dangerously reckless.
