Mexico on November 7 rejected U.S. and Israeli allegations that Iran plotted to assassinate Israel’s envoy in Mexico City, saying its ministries of foreign relations and security had “no report” of such an attempt. The claim, revealed by U.S. officials as a “contained” plot against Ambassador Einat Kranz Neiger, was dismissed by Tehran as “a great big lie” aimed at harming Iran–Mexico ties.
