Trump reveals why he fired Katie Zacharia after her President–husband mix-up

US President Donald Trump has revealed that he questioned whether Katie Zacharia needed the trouble of her new job as White House press secretary, shortly before her departure was confirmed. Speaking to reporters on Friday as he left the White House for a trip to Georgia, Trump recalled telling Zacharia, “Katie, do you need this? I don't think you need this.” Her tenure reportedly unravelled almost as quickly as it began, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding her exit and the latest changes within Trump's communications team. The White House confirmation came after Trump publicly recounted the conversation, offering a glimpse into the uncertainty surrounding Zacharia's brief stint in the high-profile role. The episode adds to the scrutiny of staffing changes and internal dynamics in the Trump administration.
