Trump's Epstein nightmare unleashed? Schumer's justice hammer drops with 'Virginia's law'

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, joined by the family of the late Virginia Giuffre and other Epstein survivors, has introduced “Virginia’s Law,” a sweeping bill to end federal statutes of limitations for sex trafficking and related abuse cases. The legislation, named after one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most well‑known accusers, would permanently lift time bars on core trafficking and exploitation crimes and create a look‑back window so survivors whose cases were previously time‑barred can sue. Supporters say the measure is designed to ensure “justice does not expire,” closing loopholes that have protected wealthy and powerful offenders and strengthening legal tools against trafficking networks linked to figures like Epstein.
