Turkey's Kashmir Hypocrisy: Erdogan Slams Ankara Attack, But Shelters Alleged J&K Terror Recruiter?

The suicide bombing near the Turkish Parliament in capital city Ankara on 1 October 2023 led to loud condemnations and even retaliatory military action by the Recep Tayyip Erdogan government. Addressing lawmakers hours after the attack, Erdogan referred to the attackers as "scoundrels" who would never achieve their goals, and called the Ankara attack the "last stand of terrorism". However, Erdogan's words ring hollow with Turkey playing host to Mukhtar Baba, a militant-turned-'journalist' who allegedly exhorts Kashmiri youth to join The Resistance Front, a shadow outfit linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba. What's more - every year at the United Nations General Assembly, Erdogan raises the Kashmir issue, and parrots Pakistan - one of the biggest sponsors of terrorism in the world.
