‘Uncalled for…’: Plea against SC lashing to Nupur Sharma over Prophet row

Published on Jul 02, 2022 02:03 pm IST

A letter petition has been filed before Chief Justice of India demanding that the SC bench recall its comments on former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. The SC had on Friday dismissed her plea seeking to club FIRs registered against her for her remarks on the Prophet during a TV debate. In the process, the SC bench came down heavily on her and said that she was 'single-handedly responsible for the situation in the country.' The letter petition filed by Ajay Gautam wants the comments by SC bench be declared as 'uncalled for'. Watch this video for more details.
