- After evacuating all Indian citizens from Kyiv, the Indian embassy in Poland issued a new advisory for those stranded in west Ukraine. In a bid to facilitate faster travel to Poland from Ukraine, the Indian embassy has advised citizens in western Ukraine, including Lviv and Ternopil, to travel to Budomierz border checkpoint. “Alternatively, they are advised to travel south to transit via Hungary or Romania,” said the Indian Embassy in Poland and Lithuania. Six flights have departed for India in the last 24 hours, including the first flights from Poland, carrying 1377 Indian nationals from Ukraine. Thousands more civilians, meanwhile, remain trapped in the war-torn territory as they attempt to cross the international border into Poland, Hungary, and Romania. Watch this video for more details.
