Watch: Kamala Harris recalls ‘walks along the beach in India’ with grandfather

Democratic Party Vice President nominee Kamala Harris posted videos on social media site Twitter recalling her times in India and the walks along the beach with her grandfather. She said that her grandfather would often discuss the importance of fighting for democracy and civil rights. Harris added that it was those moments that made her committed to fight for a better future, a trait she added she still possesses. Those walks along the beach in India really planted something in my mind and created a commitment in me, before I even realised it, that has led to me where I am today', Harris said in the video. In another video Harris recalled her mother who had come to the US at when she was 19 years old and said that she was the greatest source of inspiration for Kamala Harris. Earlier, she had spoken about her mother's attempts to instill a 'love for good idli' in her and had extended wishes to India on Independence Day 2020. Watch this full video for all the details.
