US’ peace gambit with Putin to go beyond Ukraine? Trump hints ‘big, beautiful, deal’ to cover europe

Donald Trump has hinted that a proposed peace agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin could extend far beyond Ukraine and involve the whole of Europe. The remarks came after Trump met Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev at the White House, raising fresh questions about Washington’s negotiations with Moscow. Trump described the proposed agreement as a “big, beautiful deal”, but offered few details about its terms or which European countries could be involved. Meanwhile, Ukraine and European allies remain concerned about security guarantees and their role in any settlement. Could Trump’s push for peace reshape Europe’s security architecture and leave US allies facing difficult choices?
