Turkey has become the biggest importer of Russian oil in the western hemisphere amid the Ukraine war, reported Reuters. Ankara imported 400,000 barrels of oil per day from Moscow in November 2023, and has no plans to stop anytime in the future. Turkey, a NATO ally, has refused to toe the strict western line against Russia, and it seems to be helping Moscow evade the sanctions imposed by the U.S.-led countries.
