Vande Bharat Hits 100 kmph on Chenab Rail Bridge in Jammu & Kashmir

In a major railway milestone, the Vande Bharat train successfully crossed the iconic Chenab Rail Bridge in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir, at a speed of 100 kmph. The development follows an upgrade in the permitted speed limit on the Katra–Banihal section from 75 kmph to 100 kmph. The successful crossing highlights the operational progress on the strategically important rail route through the region. The Chenab Rail Bridge, one of the most prominent structures on the railway network, continues to be a key part of the connectivity project linking the Kashmir Valley with the rest of India.
