Vande Bharat To Become India’s Bullet Train As Modi Govt Pushes To Bring First High-Speed Rail

Vande Bharat trains could soon run on high speed, achieving the long-delayed dreams of India’s first bullet train. According to Mint, Vande Bharat trains would be upgraded from semi-high speed to high-speed trains and would be run on special corridors for the round 2 of the bullet train project. India’s first bullet train project is currently under construction – between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Infrastructure delays and Covid-19 pushed the bullet train deadline from 2022 to 2028.
