Vikram Chandra on EC guidelines for polls amid pandemic
Updated on Aug 21, 2020 11:08 pm IST
The election commission announced a slew of guidelines for state assembly elections especially in Bihar that are expected to be held in October-November 2020. Keeping the current pandemic in mind, the electoral body has limited door-to-door campaigning to no more than 5 people. In other measures, voters will undergo thermal scanning at polling booths and those displaying symptoms will be asked to come in to vote in the last hour. Covid+ patients and healthcare workers will be allowed to cast their vote through postal ballot. Top stories with Vikram Chandra
