UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has condemned the suffering in Gaza and the West Bank, calling it a “stain on the conscience of the world” while addressing the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool. Miliband said Israel’s security concerns cannot justify the suffering in Gaza, accused Israeli settlers of ethnic cleansing and referred to evidence of alleged war crimes and Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory.
