After Pounding Donetsk Region 1,800 Times, Russia Captures Arkhengelske Frontline Village

Russian troops took control of another settlement in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine on May 25. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, its troops had "taken control of the village of Arkhengelske." Arkhengelske is a small frontline village located near the town of Orcheretyne which Russia had captured this month. Ukraine, meanwhile, said three people were killed and two wounded in Russian attacks on Donetsk, where there had been over 1,800 strikes over the last day. Watch
