U.S. forces won’t leave Syria? Army General backs deployment | ‘Worth The Risk’

Top U.S. Army general has backed the deployment of forces in Syria and said that it was worth the risks. Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, made a rare and unannounced visit to a U.S. base in north-east Syria and reviewed the U.S. mission there to combat the Islamic State terrorist group. His remarks come within a month of U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz introducing a bill in the House of Representatives, in a bid to pressurise Joe Biden to withdraw troops from Syria.
