Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant is on a visit to the United States. Gallant's visit came a month prior to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's impending trip to the US to address a joint session of Congress. According to many, Gallant is in the US to strengthen support for Israel across party lines in anticipation of a possible conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
