China dumps hydropower project in Pak as Sharif govt copes with floods losses

Amid deadly floods, the rift between China and Pakistan over joint development projects is widening. In the latest, Chinese engineers have abandoned repair of 969-megawatt Neelum-Jhelum hydropower project in PoK. The plant is located near Muzaffarabad and Chinese engineers were working to unblock a crucial tunnel. The Chinese have claimed local protests over the plant and the failure of the Pakistan police to offer security, as reasons behind their move. Watch this video to find out more.
