China’s landing route to Taipei blocked? Taiwan turns Danjiang bridge into a fortress for 'war day'

Taiwan has intensified its annual Han Kuang military exercises as concerns grow over a potential conflict with China. The drills included the deployment of Taiwan’s locally developed Tien-Kung III air defense systems, live-fire training by thousands of reservists, and simulations of protecting key infrastructure around Taipei. President Lai Ching-te participated in wartime contingency exercises, while troops practiced defending strategic locations such as the Danjiang Bridge. The island is also adopting new military communication methods and preparing civilian and military forces for possible crises. The large-scale drills come amid continued Chinese military pressure and rising tensions across the Taiwan Strait.
