F-16 Jet Crash Ruins Ukraine's Hope Of Air Superiority Against Russia? Aviation Expert On Fallout
Published on Aug 31, 2024 04:32 pm IST
Ukrainian aviation expert Anatolii Khrapchynskyi stated that the recent crash of an F-16 in Ukraine will not affect the decision to send more aircraft to Kyiv. The crash, which occurred on August 28 during a major Russian missile and drone attack, resulted in the death of the pilot and was the first reported loss of an F-16 in Ukraine. Despite this setback, Khrapchynskyi emphasized the need to continue strengthening Ukraine's air defense with additional aircraft. U.S. experts have joined Ukrainian officials in investigating the cause of the crash, with Khrapchynskyi noting that such losses are to be expected in war and stressing the importance of understanding the incident through a thorough investigation.
