On Day 33 of the war with Iran, US President Donald Trump addressed the nation, making a major revelation regarding the end of the conflict. Even as the war stretches beyond the one-month mark, Trump claimed that US and its ally Israel were achieving success in their military objectives. The US Commander-in-Chief paid homage to over a dozen soldiers who have died in the war so far. He also targeted US allies, asking them to take a more proactive role, especially in ending Iran's chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz, which handles one-fifth of global oil flows, and whose blockade amid the war has led to a global energy crisis.
