210 members of the U.S. Congress have addressed a letter to the secretary of state Antony Blinken, urging him to take a strong stand against South Africa's case at the ICJ. The letter claimed that South Africa's charges of Israel committing genocide in Gaza were "unfounded and defamatory." South Africa dragged Israel to the world court in the Hague in December last year, following which two days of arguments took place in the case. The judges are now deliberating on the case.
