Gulf fears US & Iran’s deadly nuclear response? Qatar & UAE run emergency drills, airports on alert

Gulf nations are reportedly stepping up security preparations amid fears of Iranian retaliation if the United States launches fresh strikes against Tehran. According to a Wall Street Journal report, Qatar and the UAE have conducted security drills at airports, while schools in Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh have shifted to online classes. The concerns centre on possible Iranian attacks against civilian and economic infrastructure across the region, as tensions escalate following reports of a US strike on Iran’s Qeshm Island and speculation over further attacks on the Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility.
