The Israeli military seems to have triggered Hamas moments before the ceasefire began. A massive blast was witnessed at Gaza's biggest hospital complex, Al-Shifa. The IDF boasted of bombing Hamas' "terror tunnel" at the Al-Shifa Hospital. The IDF carried out the strike on Al-Shifa just before the ceasefire, giving Hamas no time to respond. However, Palestinian media reports claim Hamas is infuriated after the Al-Shifa blast.
