India Reprimands Canada After Khalistan Slogans Echo At Event Attended By Trudeau | 'Disturbing...'

India summoned and chided Canada's deputy high commissioner on Monday after a video emerged of 'Khalistan Zindabad' chants at an event attended by PM Justin Trudeau in Toronto. Members of the Sikh community can be heard chanting Khalistan slogans as Trudeau walks up to the stage in a video release by CPAC. Trudeau then assures the Sikh community in Canada that their rights and freedom will be protected at all costs. "The Government of India’s deep concern and strong protest was conveyed at such disturbing actions being allowed to continue unchecked at the event," the MEA said in a statement later. Watch.
