- Hours after India broke silence on the China-Taiwan conflict, with the Ministry of External Affairs issuing its first official statement post U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Taiwan visit, S Jaishankar spoke about the 'One China Policy'. Interacting with students at the PES University in Bengaluru, the external affairs minister stressed on the need to secure the Indo-Pacific region and also reacted to India's neighbours like Bangladesh, reiterating the 'One China Policy'.
