Iran clarifies over attacks on Gulf nations, issues this warning as UAE lashes out at over strikes

Iran’s representative at the United Nations Human Rights Council delivered a passionate address in Geneva, calling on Gulf and Global South nations to unite amid escalating tensions with the U.S. and Israel. Accusing Israel of fueling “Iranophobia” for decades, the envoy warned that the current conflict is part of a broader strategy to divide the region and weaken collective strength. In a strong appeal, Iran urged regional countries to respond with “awareness, wisdom, and understanding,” framing its actions as a broader fight against what it described as an expanding threat. The remarks come as the humanitarian situation worsens, including a devastating attack on a girls’ school in Minab that reportedly killed around 170 people, many of them children. The United States has said it is still investigating the incident.
