Israeli UN envoy urges ‘more time’ as Iran war batters region and energy markets

Israel and the US have hit Iranian missile and nuclear-linked sites, while Iran has retaliated with missile barrages on Israel and drone strikes on US embassies across the Gulf, disrupting energy supplies and travel as casualties mount on both sides. Israeli envoy to the UN, Danny Danon insists their goal is “no nuclear weapons, no missile threat, no terror infrastructure,” asking civilians in Israel and neighboring countries to “give us some more time” as both sides absorb mounting casualties and the risk of escalation pulls global powers and energy markets deeper into the crisis.
