Kremlin says U.S.-Russia ties too damaged for quick repair despite new talks

The Kremlin warned on Friday that U.S.-Russia relations have suffered “too much damage” to be restored quickly, even as Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump reopened high-level contacts after years of near-total freeze under the Biden administration. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS that while Moscow and Washington are now in communication at multiple levels, normalization will be “complex” and take time. Watch for details
