France's Socialist Party lawmakers welcomed on October 14, Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu's suspension of the 2023 pensions reform. They will thus not back this week's no-confidence motions against Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu's minority government. Far-left and far-right opposition parties have introduced no-confidence motions against Lecornu's minority government. But they cannot succeed without support of the opposition Socialist Party, after the conservative Republicans party said it would support the government for now.
