El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele arrived in the U.S. on April 12 to meet with President Donald Trump, with discussions expected to center on mass deportations and security collaboration. The Trump administration has set an ambitious target of deporting one million undocumented immigrants within a year, with many expected to be housed in El Salvador’s mega-prison, CECOT.
