Myanmar experienced its worst earthquake in a century on March 28, 2025, as a 7.7-magnitude megaquake devastated cities, leaving over 1,600 dead and thousands injured. Experts warn the death toll could exceed 10,000. The quake's force was described by geologists as equivalent to "334 atomic bombs," reducing buildings to rubble in seconds.
