NATO Nation Slovenia’s Big Move, Recognizes Palestinian State As U.S., Germany & France Oppose

Slovenia, a European country, became the fourth after Norway, Ireland, and Spain to acknowledge Palestine as an independent state. Slovenian parliament approved the move with 52 votes in favour in a 90-member house on June 4. Prime Minister Robert Golob stated, "Today's recognition of Palestine as a sovereign and independent state sends hope to the Palestinian people in the West Bank and in Gaza."
