Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned amid nationwide protests following the deaths of at least 19 people in violent demonstrations. His resignation came a day after Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak stepped down, as anger surged over corruption, nepotism, and a controversial social media ban. Protesters torched Oli’s private residence in Bhaktapur while also targeting homes of other political leaders, forcing the government to lift the ban and impose curfews in Kathmandu Valley.
