Israeli PM has come out in defence of settlers after U.S. President Joe Biden signed an executive order allowing his administration to impose more sanctions on those engaging in violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The U.S. sanctioned four Israelis in first round of sanctions. Benjamin Netanyahu said that his government acts against any Israeli who breaks the law, everywhere and "therefore, exceptional measures are unnecessary." In a statement, Netanyahu also said that "the overwhelming majority of residents in Judea and Samaria are law-abiding citizens, many of whom are currently fighting – as conscripts and reservists – to defend Israel."
