Pak declares national emergency amid Sharif govt’s plea for help; Here's why

After Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif sought international help as flood relief, appealing for ₹80 billion in aid, Pak government has declared a national emergency. This after rain-induced floods killed 937 people, including 343 children, and left at least 30 million without shelter, so far. According to National Disaster Management Authority, Sindh Province reported the highest number of deaths as 306 people lost their lives due to floods and rain-related incidents from June 14 to Thursday.
