Putin and UAE’s Mohamed bin Zayed Deepen Trade and Strategic Ties in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Moscow for high-level talks that spotlighted the rapid growth of economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties between Russia and the United Arab Emirates. Putin highlighted that Russian investments in the UAE had nearly doubled Emirati investments in Russia, reflecting deepening financial connections. The leaders praised collaboration between Moscow’s Direct Investment Fund and Abu Dhabi’s Investment Authority, as well as growing cooperation in education and culture. The visit also featured discussions on regional security, global affairs, and the expanding partnership through platforms like the United Nations and BRICS, with trade between the nations reaching $11.5 billion and broader Eurasian ties hitting $30 billion. Both presidents expressed hope for even stronger ties in the years ahead.
