In a rebuke to the West, OPEC and Russia agree to a big cut in oil production. OPEC and Russia vote to slash oil output by 2 million barrels per day, thus dealing a major blow to U.S President Joe Biden amid Russia-Ukraine conflict. The Biden administration has now hit back, calling the move short-sighted. The White House has expressed disappointment over the announcement of a cut in oil production quotas by Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies. Criticizing the move by OPEC+ on cuts, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters that 'it was clear OPEC+ was aligning with Russia.' Watch this video for more details.
