It has been 43 years since Russia launched its first project 941 nuclear submarine. An Akula-class submarine was launched from the port of Severodvinsk on 23 Sep 1980. With their gigantic size & tonnage, these submarines have become the world's largest. These subs are expected to play a key role in a possible world war III scenario.
