Russia is reportedly expanding its military cooperation by supplying advanced weaponry—including nuclear-capable systems—to close allies, fueling tensions with NATO. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko addressed speculation about the transfer of Russia’s formidable Burevestnik nuclear-powered missile, clarifying that while Belarus has received other Russian nuclear armaments (“Oreshnik”), it does not need the Burevestnik or Poseidon, citing Belarus’s lack of access to major seas and the operational limitations in its forested terrain.
