Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow is carefully examining proposals put forward by some African leaders to end the conflict in Ukraine. During the Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg, Putin showed respect for the peace initiatives and expressed interest in developing military cooperation with the continent. While the African peace proposal was presented to both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, it has not gained traction with either side.
