'Shoot-At-Sight' Order In Uttarakhand After Violence Over Madrassa & Mosque Demolition In Haldwani

Massive violence erupted in the Haldwani area of Nainital district on Thursday. This after a madrassa and an underground mosque-like structure were demolished. Angry locals pelted stones at the officials and set barricades and vehicles on fire. The state government imposed a curfew in the area and asked for paramilitary forces to maintain order.
