- Liz Truss is poised to replace Boris Johnson and become the Prime Minister of UK on September 5. The ballots to decide the next leader of Conservative Party in UK closed on Friday. The handover of power from outgoing PM Boris Johnson to the winner, either Rishi Sunak or Liz Truss, will take place at Scotland's Balmoral Castle instead of Buckingham Palace in London.
