- Sources have told HT that Al-Qaeda chief Ayman Al-Zawahiri’s presence in Kabul is the main reason behind Washington's decision to not extend UN waiver allowing Taliban officials to travel abroad. Zawahiri was found to be sheltered in a Kabul house owned by a top aide to Taliban deputy leader and interior minister Sirajuddin Haqqani. Zawahiri's presence in Kabul meant that U.S no longer trusts Taliban regime. Watch this video to find out more.
