Ukraine’s Big Claim Amid Counteroffensive, Says West Told Kyiv To Kill As Many Russians As Possible

Published on Jun 14, 2023 01:41 pm IST

Ukraine has "majorly failed" in its long-touted offensive powered by western weapons. In a bid to save face, Kyiv is now indulging in optics to "deceive" its backers. In an interview, Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that the West told Kyiv to "kill as many Russians as possible." Interestingly, the statements are being made while Kyiv is on its knees on the battlefield. So far, Ukraine has managed to retake only five villages with these "mighty" western weapons. Out of the five villages, Russia is bombarding two in a bid to take back control. The "dud" offensive is not only an embarrassment for Ukraine but also for the West. This is because Ukraine, with all the help from the West, has "failed."
