U.S. Cop Who Ran Over & Killed Indian Student Jaahnavi Kandula 'Absolved'; Family Decries ‘Failure Of Justice’

Authorities in the U.S. decided to drop criminal charges against Seattle police officer, who run over and killed Indian student Jaahnavi Kandula in January last year. The King County Prosecuting Attorney cited lack of evidence against Kevin Dave's involvement in the incident. Jaahnavi was walking on the street when she was struck by the speeding police vehicle. Later, the Seattle Police Department released a bodycam footage, in which officer Daniel Auderer laughed about the deadly crash and dismissed any implication that a criminal investigation was necessary against Dave.
