Amid rising tariff tensions between India and the United States, former U.S. President Donald Trump has made a major diplomatic outreach to Prime Minister Narendra Modi — inviting India to join his proposed “Board of Peace” for post-war Gaza. In a letter shared publicly by the U.S. envoy to India, Trump described the initiative as a “historic and magnificent effort” aimed at overseeing governance and reconstruction in Gaza after the war. The proposed Board of Peace would function as a new international organization and transitional governing authority, bringing together select global leaders.
