Why Pak & China want third country to join CPEC after Afghanistan expansion

- Pakistan and China have decided to welcome any third country joining the multi-billion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The move came in the 3rd meeting of the CPEC Joint Working Group on International Cooperation and Coordination, held virtually and was co-chaired by Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and China's Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao. But reportedly, many projects under the CPEC launched in 2015 with the objective to increase connectivity in Pakistan and China by building roads, energy projects and industrial zones in Pakistan, are still incomplete or have missed deadline.
